Cost of Dental Crowns

At White Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, we create personalized treatment plans geared toward delivering flawless, healthy smiles that address your unique oral healthcare needs. That means that every patient’s dental crown restoration is as unique as their individual situation, and this customization means that the cost of dental crowns varies as well. In order to learn more about the pricing of your individual treatment plan, you’ll need to call to schedule a consultation appointment in our state-of-the-art Goode dental office. We’ll examine your smile and walk you through the treatment process, including pricing.

Materials for Dental Crown Restoration

Dental crown

One of the main factors that impact the cost of your dental crown restoration is the material used to craft the crown. We can offer dental crowns made from a number of different materials, including gold, metal alloy, porcelain fused to metal, zirconia, and ceramic. Metal alloys and porcelain fused to metal crowns are the most affordable options. Unfortunately, metal alloys are noticeable within the smile, making them less than ideal for visible front teeth. Porcelain fused to metal crowns have a more natural appearance, but they need to be replaced every five to seven years to maintain their flawless appearance. Zirconia and ceramic crowns are more natural looking, and they offer long-lasting results. They are pricier than metal alloy, but less expensive gold crowns. Gold restorations offer the longest lasting results with the least wear against opposing teeth. They can be crafted to look a little more like natural tooth structure, but they are not a perfect match. A gold crown may be an ideal option for large, back teeth that absorb the largest amount of pressure during chewing, but that aren’t as visible within the smile.

Dental Insurance Coverage

Most dental benefit plans offer 50 to 80% coverage for the cost of your dental crowns. Our team knows how to maximize your dental benefits to offset treatment pricing. We’ll process and file your insurance claims, and we are in-network providers for Anthem and Delta Dental Premier.
