Trick-or-treating is one of the most fun things about being a kid, but no child really needs a bucket of candy to eat for weeks on end. So why not donate it? During our candy buyback, we will take your extra wrapped sweets and send them straight to our troops abroad. That means your child\u2019s teeth are protected from some of that excess sugar, which is great for their developing tooth enamel, all the while our brave soldiers get a little taste of home! We look at that as a win-win-win. <\/span><\/p>\n

$1 Per Pound, October 29 – November 9<\/span><\/h2>\n

During our candy buyback, bring in your excess store-bought, wrapped candy, and we will trade you $1 per pound, up to 5 pounds of candy per child. That means your whole crew can participate in this exciting event — and make off with a pretty good little Halloween cash bonus, too! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This candy buyback program starts on Monday, October 29 and runs until Friday, November 9. You will have plenty of time to get the haul home, have your little one(s) select their favorite items from the mix if you wish, and bring what\u2019s left over to Hendricksen Cosmetic & Family Dentistry in exchange for cash. <\/span><\/p>\n

Why It Matters <\/span><\/h2>\n

Remember that children\u2019s teeth are most vulnerable to cavities between the ages of 6 and 14, which also happen to be the prime trick-or-treating years. During this time, their developing tooth enamel is softer and more prone to developing weak spots due to increased sugar consumption and lax oral hygiene habits. As a parent, it is crucial to do everything possible to protect your child\u2019s developing smile. And, during Halloween season, that means bringing your extra candy in for our deployed troops! <\/span><\/p>\n

Now is not a bad time to think about scheduling a second checkup and cleaning for your little one, either.
